“ We decided on the Mule today for a quick lunch, very cool spot, great atmosphere and vibe inside, very retro looking. The service was great, met with a smile, very attentive and helpful. We started with a calamari which was excellent, not just too rubbery, very fresh and not too excessive batter. We decided to do one of each of the tacos on the menu and shared them. Not sure if this was their normal menu or just for the Hamilton Supercrawl weekend. Either way all were delicious in their own way, very flavourful, fresh and kept us wanting more. However, three tacos each was more than enough. Have to say the fish taco tasted the best in our opinion. Prices were reasonable, a little on the high side, but you are getting a quality meal. Well worth it. Overall service and food were top notch and would definitely recommend if you are in the area or have a craving for tacos. ”
“ My wife, son and I stopped at The Mule for dinner on the weekend for the first time. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess who sat us at the covered patio in the back. My wife and I had two tacos each and my son was extra hungry and went for three. We also shared a plate of nachos. The food was excellent. Everything was fresh and flavourful. My wife said that her margarita, while pricey, was very good. I had a brisket and Nashville chicken taco. They were both fantastic but the Nashville chicken taco was the winner for heat and flavour. My wife raved about the sweet potato taco. Great service, great food and great drinks at the Mule. We are looking forward to trying the Port Dover location next. Thanks! ”
“ I don’t normally write reviews but I had to for the Mule. We ate there tonight and had just the best experience! We were super late because we had been stuck in Toronto traffic and the staff were so kind and accommodating with keeping our reservation and making sure we would still have a spot to sit. When we arrived we had less than an hour to eat before our event started at the concert hall. Again- the staff were so kind and accommodating! On top of that the tacos are EXCELLENT! The cocktails are EXCELLENT!! If I could leave a million stars I would! ”
“ Julia made this an incredible experience! I am so grateful for Julia and The Mule, as a celiac and anaphylactic to Peanuts and Tree Nuts, my time finding restaurants that I feel truly safe is rare. This was the first place in Canada where I felt that safety to just explore the menu, relax, and enjoy. Everyone that came to our table was kind, informed, and awesome! Also the food IS AMAZING! Best tacos I’ve had in Ontario. Thank you again to Julia and the team for making a memorable meal and amazing experience. Will be coming back to Hamilton just for The Mule! ”
“ The go to spot for margaritas in downtown Hamilton. I love their selection of tacos too, the OG fish is my favourite! The patio in the back alley had a great atmosphere as well, I recommend trying it out if it’s available! ”
“ Hip gluten-free Mexican fusion restaurant and traditional bar. Have eaten here almost a dozen times. Flavourful and clean Mexican food dishes and hard liquor menu, especially tequila. Friendly and helpful staff. My favourite dishes are the calamari and chicken tacos - also vegetarian, beef and fish options depending your preference. Washrooms are down stairs. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is fun. ”
“ My fiancee and I came here on a date Saturday evening looking for some Fish Tacos. First time coming to The Mule and we were very pleased. We were looking to find a table on the patio since it was a nice summer's eve, and we were fortunate to find one in the back patio. The mule has a patio out front on the street side and one out back where the old horse carriage house used to be. I found out you can also call a head and reserve a table on the patio up until 7pm I believe. The inside of the place looked warm and inviting. No dark ceilings like a lot of the corporate restaurants that make it feel like you're eating in a cave. The food was terrific, we stuffed our bellies with a couple orders of tacos. You can order different kinds of tacos at the same time as well, there's probably a dozen to choose from. We had a couple drinks with our meal and the bill was extremely fair with the tip included. Very happy with the service and always looking forward to coming back. ”
“ I recently visited Mule with my friends and had the pleasure of trying nearly every type of taco on their menu, thanks to their fantastic mix-and-match option. I got to try Chicken, Fish and vegetarian tacos. Each taco was better than the last, but the fish tacos were absolutely to die for—perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The drinks were equally amazing. The combination of delicious food, great drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere makes this place a standout. I’ll definitely be coming back all the time for my taco fix! ”
